The FUSION class at Colonial Hills Baptist Church welcomes all who have graduated high school, are in college, or have already started their careers. Our class ranges from 18 to 30 year olds who are looking for unity in Christ and fellow believers.  Fusion class will take truths that you have learned your whole life and apply them to real life situations.  This will be done through fun activities, getting involved in the community, and bible studies (etc.).  Through these interactions spiritual growth and relationship building will be greatly encouraged.  The Fusion class is a place where you can build a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ and with fellow Christians as you pursue God’s will for your life.  Join us this Sunday morning at 9:30 A.M. at Colonial Hills.  If you have any questions feel free to contact us on facebook or email us at ---------no email yet....--------

Class Verse

Ephesians 4:13-15

13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ

  14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Colonial Kids

Colonial Kids

We love children! The Bible teaches that children should be taught at an early age the principles and precepts from God's Word. We seek to instill in our boys and girls a love for God's Word and a desire to give their lives to Him. Each of our children's programs at Colonial are designed to fulfill that purpose.

Ladies' Ministry

Ladies' Ministry

In the busyness of caring for a home, building a career, or rearing children, a woman could easily neglect her spiritual life. The Colonial Ladies' Fellowship helps women prevent that unintentional slide. Ladies’ Fellowship is dedicated to spiritually enriching each woman who attends. At our meetings ladies encourage one another by testifying of God’s grace in their lives, sharing one another’s burdens, and praying for one another. Such open fellowship unifies our ladies, binding heart to heart. In addition ladies grow in faith as they study the Word of God and learn to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ(I Corinthians 6:20) through personal evangelism. With the friendship and support of other Christian ladies, no woman need struggle alone in her spiritual walk.

Men's Ministry

Men's Ministry

Though surrounded by a culture that has redefined and even disparaged masculinity, we believe male spiritual leadership is essential to the stability of the family and the church body. At Colonial we desire to help men strengthen their personal relationships with Jesus Christ and eagerly assume the responsibilities of spiritual caregivers to their families. We don’t want our men to simply sit in the pew and absorb information. We want them to actively engage in service. What they learn in church on Sunday they should apply as they train their children at home, evangelize the lost, or care for the church body. Colonial Men’s Ministries offer men such opportunities to put their faith into practice. Through Bible studies and activities, fathers and sons can grow closer to one another. On mission trips men can proclaim the gospel and assist our missionaries. Through service days men can meet needs within the church family. Building a strong church begins by building spiritually strong men.

Music Ministry

Music Ministry

Because the words of a song can reinforce biblical truths or turn our thoughts to praising God, the music at Colonial nicely complements the preaching of the Word of God. But even without lyrics our music can communicate the beauty and order of God’s nature. Through traditional, conservative hymns, gospel songs, and recently composed songs, we endeavor to reflect the nature of God and bring glory to His name.

Outreach

Outreach

At Colonial we take seriously God’s command to take the gospel to our community and to the ends of the earth (Matthew 28:19-20). Knowing that Christ is the only hope for eternal life, we feel the urgency of reaching those who are trapped in sin and facing an eternity of damnation in hell.  We have the good news that Christ has paid the penalty for their sin by giving His own life to redeem theirs. And we share that good news with our community through every opportunity God gives us: bus ministry, in-home and nursing home visits, state fair evangelism, prison ministry, and in-school child evangelism fellowship clubs. Our outreach extends beyond the surrounding community through annual mission trips and the financial support of missionaries worldwide. Join us in sharing the good news of the gospel and experience the joy of introducing someone to Jesus Christ.

Senior Saints

Senior Saints

Senior Saints is a ministry to and of adults age 55 and up. Many of our group have faithfully served in the church for 30 up to even 50 years, and though they may have retired from their professions, they have certainly not retired from ministering. Our Senior Saints program encourages them to continue their ministry by offering regular fellowship with other senior adults and mentoring opportunities with younger generations. You will find senior saints enthusiastically serving in almost every area of the church from the nursery to outreach and counseling efforts. The senior saints are also enthusiastic about activities and travel. We enjoy local events, such as a symphony orchestra concert; weekend getaways to Chicago or Cincinnati; and extended trips to Alaska or New England. Each month we meet after a Sunday evening service for food and fellowship. Invite your friends and join us for our next fellowship.

Sunday School

Sunday School

Each Sunday morning at Colonial begins with Sunday school, a time of practical application of God’s Word. In the children’s classes dedicated teachers present Bible truths in a way appropriate for the age of each group. Adult classes offer an in-depth study of topics that complements the preaching of the Sunday services. Because of the class’s smaller group size, adults can discuss their questions and concerns as well as develop close friendships with their classmates. These opportunities make Sunday school an important element in Christian growth.

Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry

The Colonial Youth Ministry encourages teens and their parents to love God with all their hearts and to serve Him (1 Samuel 12:24). In order to love God, teens must first know Him. Each week in Sunday school and on Wednesday evenings, our teens study the Word of God to strengthen their personal relationships with God and grow in understanding His attributes, His redemptive plan, and His workings in and through man. A love for God should naturally overflow into service for Him. Therefore, Colonial Youth Ministry encourages teens to begin using their lives now to serve God. Teens participating in teen choir, mission trips, and children’s evangelism can develop a lifelong pattern of serving the Lord.
